About

Precise Communications was established in 2002 by founder Susan Hicks, originally to offer writing, editing and proofreading services for businesses, authors and academics.

Public and media relations services were added to help clients share their business news through the media, including online wire services and calendars. Working in collaborative partnerships with respected professionals (in graphic design, photography, marketing strategy, etc.), we have served a diverse client base.

Past projects include serving as content editor for local and national publications, as communications director for an area nonprofit, and as content developer for several businesses in the natural products industry.

Susan’s background includes teaching English and speech in Florida high schools, after teaching and managing a one-room school for adjudicated delinquents in a well established program in Pennsylvania. She worked in several nonprofit organizations and served as executive director for a child advocacy organization in southeast Oklahoma. Susan has a bachelor’s degree in Education from Duquesne University and has continued her studies in humanities.
